HUIT Biotechnology students gain practical experience at UV Joint Stock Company

From October 26 to 30, 2026, the Faculty of Biology and Environment at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) organized a field study program for 14th-cohort Biotechnology students at UV Joint Stock Company. As part of the Biotechnology curriculum, the program aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications while providing students with opportunities to gain firsthand experience in a professional working environment.

During the program, representatives of UV Joint Stock Company introduced students to the company's history, development, and major areas of operation. Through presentations and discussions with the company's technical staff, students gained valuable insights into research, production, and the application of biotechnology in product development, thereby enhancing their understanding of the role of biotechnology in industrial practice.

One of the highlights of the field study was a guided tour of the company's laboratory facilities and biotechnology production plant. Students had the opportunity to observe laboratory equipment, production facilities, and various stages of the manufacturing process. Practical insights into equipment operation, technological applications, quality control, and production safety helped students better understand how the specialized knowledge acquired at university is applied in real-world industrial settings.

In addition to the technical activities, the program featured interactive games, networking opportunities, and gifts provided by the company. These activities created an engaging and friendly atmosphere, encouraging students to develop their communication skills, confidence, initiative, and teamwork.

The field study not only reinforced students' academic knowledge but also enhanced their awareness of professional working environments, industry expectations, and the essential skills required in the biotechnology sector. The experience provided students with valuable perspectives to guide their future academic pursuits, research interests, and career development.

The field study at UV Joint Stock Company further demonstrated the Faculty of Biology and Environment's commitment to practice-oriented education. Strengthening university–industry partnerships plays an important role in improving educational quality, enabling students to gain exposure to modern technologies, acquire practical experience, and progressively develop the competencies required by the labor market.

The Faculty of Biology and Environment sincerely extends its appreciation to the management and staff of UV Joint Stock Company for their warm welcome, valuable knowledge sharing, and generous support throughout the program. The Faculty looks forward to maintaining and strengthening this partnership through future collaboration in education, scientific research, and biotechnology workforce development.
