Representing more than 9,000 freshmen, Nguyen Tuong An, the 2026 Admissions Valedictorian, majoring in Food Technology, shared her joy and pride at becoming a HUIT student, while expressing her determination to study, develop herself, and proactively seize new opportunities in the university environment.

As part of the Opening Ceremony, HUIT announced commendation decisions and awarded scholarships to freshmen who achieved outstanding results in the 2026–2027 admissions cycle. Nguyen Tuong An, majoring in Food Technology, was honored as the Admissions Valedictorian; the two Admissions Salutatorians were Nguyen Phuong Linh, majoring in Accounting, and Truong Minh Hieu, majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. In addition, the University awarded scholarships to 42 freshmen with the highest admission results in regular undergraduate programs and international joint programs. The total value of awards and scholarships presented to students with outstanding achievements in the 2026 admissions season exceeded VND 271 million.
